Fantastic, soothing after shave
This is a great aftershave. I have been using it for over a year now. I tried some others and found this to be the best for me. Very light, soothing, and moisturizing without being greasy or heavy. Absorbs well, leaves skin feeling great all day. 2008-01-13

Improved formula, MUCH stronger scent!
Nivea is renown for creating super facial products. This "new improved" formula is loaded with a heavy scent that the previous product did without.
It's unfortunate that products groomed for sensitive skins are becoming increasing fragrant. Overpowering. Simply cannot use this newest formula.

Great Product for the Buck!
I have been happily using this product for three years by now. Although not a fan of Nivea products, I think Nivea nailed it with this particular product. I have sensitive and dry skin, which is hence prone to rash, eczema, and other atopic reactions. Nivea for Men Sensitive After Shave Extra Soothing Balm is a good after shave balm for sensitive and dry skin, and here is why: its formula is gentle and fast-absorbing, which includes Chamomile, Vitamin E and Provitamin B5. You can actually smell the light and natural fragrance of Chamomile, which is very nice and NOT irritating to sensitive skin. It is also alcohol free, which is indeed the key to this product designed for sensitive skin type. It immediately calms the skin by its moisturizing and soothing qualities.
If you have used this product and not been satisfied, then you should try shaving with a therapeutic shaving gel to prevent initial shaving irritation. If you do so, you will be naturally more satisfied with any after shave balm or lotion. There are several companies who produce these shaving gels and they are accessible on amazon.

Great for Razor Burn
I've used this for years: it's got an astringent agent in it that stings a bit at first (to close up your pores), and then it's just lotion. Even when I recently switched to an electric razor, this stuff makes my face feel like I didn't just spend five minutes running a motor over it. Worth noting is the subdued scent: it's far from overpowering or even noticeable five minutes after you use it. 2007-09-26

moisturizing feel, but not strong enough
Goes on well, feels good, but I had to add a little isopropyl alcohol to the bottle to make it more effective in relieving razor burn. When it says "for sensitive skin" I thought it meant sensitive to razor burn. Instead it means sensitive to strong ingredients that relieve razor burn. 2007-09-23
